Hi to all the Joshua
Bell fans!
My name is Gizem and I'll be takeing over this site. Some of you might know that this site belonged to Carmen a dear JB fan, but she is not gonna be able to take care of it because of her busy schedule. So she asked me if I could do it and I said "Sure hand it over, I'd love to do it for the greatest JB fans." :-) Well as for me I am really honered to take care of this site. And I'll be updating new stuff and maybe new pictures. Its kinda funny how I got to a Joshua Bell fan.
Well about 7-8 months ago I didn't even play the violin. I was mostly into
listening and just playing the piano a little. One day I was watching
a movie called "The Music of the Heart." I could imagine most of you
probably watched this movie. But when I watched this movie I didnt know
anything about the violin or did I know any violinists. Actually at the
end of the movie where the famous violinists were there I thought they
were actors... The most embarissing thing was that when they said
Joshua Bell I thought to myself "Wow he's hot, I wish he was a real violinist."
Well, the truth os the matter is I didn't even know who Itzak Pearlman was...
The next day, after watching the movie, I went to
our schools music teacher and asked him if I could take a violin class. I
did this because that movie really inspired me and suddenly I had
this feeling to play the violin. He said that it was alright and I was really happy!
Well, truth of the matter is I
didn't know about Joshua Bell untill I watched "The Red Violin." I
was really moved by the great music of that movie so I waited for
the ending and I wanted to see who wrote the music and who played
it. There it comes... "Joshua Bell? OH MY GOD!JOSHUA BELL!!!"
I'm thinking to myself I gotta calm down... Then I got to my computer
and started searching about Joshua Bell. "And here it is. Now lets see
a picture of him..." ::Gizem falls from her chair:: "Oh My God! THATS
JOSHUA BELL?!"
Well I think you can imagine the shock
that I was in. I mean I always thought of violinists as old man with beard.
Well that image is gone from my head now! But what I'm saying is
I fell in love with his music and not him.
Anyways I think I should stop
telling this story... But please send me some of your stories.
I would love to put it up on my site!
